Fun With Senators...
So Bill Frist supports banning gay marriage on a whole in the U.S. I fired off this letter, hoping that he, like our president, thinks that "irony" is the taste of a nickel.
"Dear Mr. Frist,
I believe it prudent to first thank you for your support of the defense of marriage act. Anything that helps preserve our American values and way of life is a boon to the core of who we are as a people.
I think, however, you should possibly look deeper into this amendment as a way to curb the problem more resolutely. It is finally our chance to renew marriage as an institution for raising a child ethically and morally.
Though it is absolutely necessary to keep the same sex apart, I believe we should do the opposite when it comes to race. We need to broaden the bill to ban the marriage of people of different ethnic backgrounds. This will bar any confusion or potential misguided feelings about the other citizens from entering the minds of our precious youth.
We need a clear-cut message to the children: Opposites only attract when it comes to sex, not race. I thank you so much for supporting the enlightenment of our children.
Sincerely,J. Klamm"
Ahh... I'm funny.
